WickedCup and Maligne Lodge Closed Until We Rebuild
Dear Valued Guests and Friends of WickedCup and Maligne Lodge,
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the devastating wildfire that recently swept through the town of Jasper. Our beloved Maligne Lodge and WickedCup, along with many other homes and businesses, has been destroyed in this tragic event.
First and foremost, we are immensely grateful that no fatalities have been reported. Our deepest gratitude goes out to the brave first responders and firefighters who have worked tirelessly to protect our community and save what they could of our cherished town.
Maligne Lodge has been a part of Jasper’s history since 1961, welcoming countless visitors from around the world to experience the beauty of the Rockies. The loss of our lodge, along with other landmarks and businesses, is a shock to us all.
While we grieve for what has been lost, we are committed to the future. Jasper’s spirit is strong, and we are determined to rebuild. We look forward to the day when we can once again welcome you to a renewed Maligne Lodge and a revitalized Jasper.
The road to recovery will be long, but we are excited about the opportunity to create new memories with you in the future. We ask for your patience and support during this challenging time.
For now, we urge everyone to learn from this tragedy and to take steps to prevent such devastating wildfires in the future. Let us work together to protect our beautiful natural spaces and the communities that call them home.
We will keep you updated on our progress and plans. Thank you for your understanding and for being a part of the Maligne Lodge family.
Stay safe, and we hope to see you again soon in the majestic Rockies.
Sincerely,
Karyn Decore, President CEO
